An Open House for the project was held on Oct. 3, 2002 in Titusville to encourage the exchange of information between the public and the project team. A Public Hearing was held on Aug. 13, 2003, at the conclusion of the Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) study.
As part of the project Design/Build phase, the FDOT conducted several community meetings. FDOT and project team representatives met with the Harbour Pointe Condo Association, the Chamber of Commerce, local fishing enthusiasts and individual business owners about the project. A project presentation to the City of Titusville Community Redevelopment Agency on May 12, 2009 was televised on the city’s public access channel.
A public meeting was held on May 28, 2009 at the Titusville City Hall in the Council Chambers. Members of the public had the opportunity to view project exhibits, ask questions of project team members and submit their comments at the informal open house.
